Vin Wonders - Vin Safari - Grand World

Vin Wonders: Often called the "Disneyland of Vietnam", this amusement park has a large aquarium filled with a variety of sea creatures. It’s a fun place for both kids and adults to explore.

Vin Safari: The largest zoo in Vietnam, where you can see a wide range of animals up close. One of the coolest activities for kids is the Junior Zoo Keeper program. This lets them make food for the animals, clean their living spaces, and learn how to connect with them.

Grand World: After spending the day at Vin Wonders and Vin Safari, head over to Grand World, just a 5-minute drive away, to enjoy dinner and watch the evening show. If you love taking photos, the daytime light is perfect, but the night is great for many activities too. The weather will be cooler in the evening, especially during the hot months from January to April.

These attractions are ideal for a fun and unforgettable day that you might need to put them in your list!

These are three major attractions built by Vingroup, the largest group in Vietnam. They’re all located in the North of Phu Quoc, right next to each other, so if you're up for it, you can visit all three in one day!

Beautiful Beaches

Starfish Beach: Located in the North of Phu Quoc, Starfish Beach is a must-see during the hot season. It's a long beach and you can't drive along it because there’s a forest with no road. Instead, you can stop at the furthest point which "Con Sao Quan" - a floating restaurant (you can find it on Google Maps). To reach the most beautiful part of the beach from there called "Mui Ham Rong," you can take a local boat (the ride costs around 150,000 VND - 300,000 VND per person). Otherwise, you can walk along the beach for 30-45 minutes to get to this gorgeous area.

Fingernail Beach: Fingernail Beach: Located on Fingernail Island in the south, you can reach this beach by speedboat from An Thoi Harbour (about a 20-minute ride). To get there, you can book an island-hopping tour, but make sure the tour includes Fingernail Island with Fingernail Beach in the itinerary. Some companies might take you to the island but not to the most beautiful part of the beach, so to make sure you visit the right spot, you can check out Layla Mermaid Tours!

Starfish Beach and Fingernail Beach are two of the most beautiful, pristine beaches you shouldn't miss during the hot season.

Sunset Town and Cable Car

Take a stroll through the well-preserved European-style buildings and enjoy the beautiful sunset views. Also, make sure to try the world’s longest cable car ride which I've never heard anyone say they didn’t love it!

Sunset Town: A colorful European-style village in Phu Quoc, designed for photo lovers. While some travelers find it strange to see European architecture in Vietnam, many others find it special and unique. It's a great place to take beautiful photos or videos, especially for those who haven’t had the chance to visit Europe.

Cable Car: The world’s longest 3-rope cable car (7.9 km) crosses many islands and offers stunning views of the sea and the islands. The highest column reaches 188.9 meters!

Tips: The cable car ticket also includes access to the waterpark and the Kiss Bridge, making it a great option for families with kids or young people. There's also a night show called "Kiss of the Star," which combines fire, water, and light, with a spectacular fireworks display at the end—another fantastic experience to enjoy while you're at Sunset Town.

Island Hopping Tour

Phu Quoc is famous for its pristine beaches and vibrant ocean life, waiting for you to discover. To explore more, take a boat trip—preferably with a local guide—to visit the nearby islands around Phu Quoc.

Snorkeling: The best islands for snorkeling south of Phu Quoc are Kim Quy Island, Gam Ghi Island, and Buom Island. Don’t miss out on these, but keep in mind that the currents or waves may sometimes prevent you from exploring them.

Beautiful beaches: Fingernail Island, May Rut Trong Island, and May Rut Ngoai Island offer pristine water, perfect spots for relaxation.

Other activities: For more adventure, you can try sea walking, scuba diving, jet skiing, parasailing, and more!

Local Products

Phu Quoc is famous for its pearl farms, pepper plantations, and fish sauce factories, which have long been the main sources of income for the locals long time ago. Take some time to explore these places and shop for unique local products as souvenirs.

Rainy Season: May to October

During the rainy season, the weather can be unpredictable, with occasional heavy showers. However, there are still many things to do, and some activities are even better during this time.

What can you do in the rainy season?

Same Activities as the Hot Season
While rain may interfere with your plans at times, you can still enjoy most of the same activities. However, keep in mind that heavy rain may ruin some outdoor plans.

Special Activities in the Rainy Season|
The rainy season is actually a great time to enjoy waterfalls and certain beaches that look even more stunning with the rain.

1. Sao Beach and Khem Beach: Starfish Beach is not as beautiful during the rainy season. The changing wind and currents make the beach less clear, and you won’t see starfish as you would in the hot season. Instead, enjoy Sao Beach and Khem Beach, which are much more beautiful during the rainy season.

2. Waterfalls: Phu Quoc has some beautiful waterfalls you can explore in the rainy season

  • Tranh Stream: A easy-to-reach waterfall with around 15 minutes climbing up to it and the road is easy to go

  • Da Ngon Waterfall: A more hidden gem that’s less crowded, and you might just have it all to yourself. However, getting there is not easy, and you may need a local guide to help you navigate the way. It can take you up to 2 hours one way climbing to the waterfall.
